Support
Requirements
Vision Stats requires Apple Vision Pro with visionOS 26.0 or later. You do not need a Vision Stats account to use monitoring. The app uses available public system APIs, so some readings may be unavailable or vary with the device and operating system.
All monitoring features are free. Optional tips support development and do not unlock additional functions.
Using the compact monitor
The app normally opens as a compact horizontal monitor. Look at a metric and tap it to open its detail panel. Tap outside the panel or select its close button to dismiss it. Select View full details to open the dashboard for that metric.
The ellipsis button opens Monitoring settings. From there, choose a 1, 2 or 5 second sample interval, pause or resume monitoring, open the full dashboard, view Privacy & Support, or choose Support the developer. The dashboard also has a pause/resume button, a sampling menu and a support entry in its ellipsis menu.
What the readings mean
| Reading | Meaning |
|---|---|
| CPU | The graph and percentage show system CPU activity when available. If a system reading is unavailable, the compact monitor is labeled APP CPU and shows this app's CPU usage. App CPU at 100% means one logical core is fully used; multithreaded usage can exceed 100%. System CPU usage is measured across all cores. |
| GPU | The compact label is derived from the available Metal graphics device name. It identifies the graphics device or chip rather than showing GPU utilization. |
| RAM | The progress indicator is an estimate of active, wired and physical compressor memory divided by total physical memory. It is not a memory-pressure indicator and does not include every reclaimable cache. Details show available memory categories and this app's memory footprint. |
| SSD | The indicator shows estimated occupied space as a share of total capacity. Occupied space is calculated as total capacity minus the system's space-available-for-important-usage estimate. Available space may include reclaimable caches. Storage uses decimal GB / TB. |
| BAT | The indicator shows remaining battery percentage when provided by visionOS. Tap it for battery and power details. An unavailable reading is not treated as a 0% battery level. |
| SEN | The thermometer represents the system's thermal state: Nominal, Fair, Serious or Critical. It is not a temperature sensor reading. |
| Network | The red reading is upload; the blue reading is download. Rates are based on byte counters for visible interfaces on the current route and may include traffic from other apps. They are not an internet speed test or a measurement of Wi-Fi link speed. |
| Device | Device information includes available model, operating system, memory, storage and Metal graphics device information. Monitoring session time measures this app's current monitoring session, not time since the device last restarted. |
Unavailable readings and trends
GPU and R1 utilization, exact sensor temperatures, fan speed, battery health and other apps' process details are not exposed to this app by standard public APIs. Vision Stats marks unavailable readings rather than inventing values.
Rate and CPU calculations need successive readings. After starting, resuming monitoring or changing network interfaces, allow a few sampling intervals for values and trends to appear. Charts retain recent samples while the app runs and show gaps when readings are unavailable. Pausing stops live sampling; resuming begins with a fresh rate baseline.
Local diagnostic reports
From the dashboard's ellipsis menu, choose Save local diagnostic snapshot to save a report inside the app. The report is not automatically uploaded. A report can include local network addresses, locale and time zone. Do not share sensitive information unnecessarily.
Voluntary tips
Choose Support the developer to open the support window. It offers three tip amounts and displays the current price for your App Store country or region. Each tip is an optional, one-time purchase through Apple. It does not start a subscription, renew automatically or change access to any monitoring feature. You can continue using all features without tipping, and you can make another tip whenever you choose.
An internet connection is needed to load tip prices and make a purchase. If the options cannot be loaded, try again later; monitoring remains available. You can cancel Apple's purchase sheet without making a payment. If a purchase is pending approval, wait for Apple's confirmation before trying to buy again.
Tips are consumable purchases and cannot be restored. All app functions remain free, so there is no feature entitlement to restore after reinstalling or changing devices. For a billing question or refund request, follow Apple's refund instructions or visit Report a Problem. Apple determines refund eligibility.
Reporting a problem
Contact electric romeo through: proxima.centauri0@gmail.com
Include:
- The Vision Stats version and visionOS version.
- The screen or metric involved, and whether you were using the compact monitor or dashboard.
- The sample interval, whether monitoring was paused, and steps to reproduce the issue.
- The expected result and what appeared instead. A screenshot can help if it does not expose private information.
Do not send passwords, account credentials or private network addresses unless they are necessary to diagnose the issue. You do not need to provide a device serial number or UDID.
